Our bus is leaving Carrick right now and will be finishing up the Weed route.
We would like to clarify, ALL students are being releases now. The bus has departed. If your is usually picked up, please pick them up as soon as possible. The PTO meeting for tonight has been cancelled.
The bus is departing school right now.
Due to weather and road conditions we will be sending ALL bus students home right now. Our bus is still at school and we will start to load the older kids. We will send out a message once they depart school. If your child is in the after school program, please come and pick them up ASAP. The bus will have all grades TK-8 loaded on the same bus, so it will be running late. Lake Shastina and Weed riders will both be dropped off at their stops.
School will operate on a normal schedule today. Both buses will be running this morning. If the storm comes in as forecasted or power goes out at school, there could be early dismissal. We will send out notifications if that happens.
Butteville will have a late start today. School will start at 10:00. The bus will depart school at 8:40 and arrive at Hoy Park around 9:00. We will run the normal route, just add two hours to your pick up time. At this time there will be no bus service offered to Weed. When the Shastina bus arrives to school at 10:00 we will look at road conditions and possibly send a bus into town for a run. We will send out another message if that happens. Butteville Track season is fast approaching. If your child is interested in joining please have them put their name down on the sign up sheet at the office. They will need to have a sports physical of file in order to participate in practice and meets. We have sports packets with physical forms in the office.
School will be open and operating on a normal schedule today.
After careful consideration the decision to close school has been made. Please stay safe.
Due to the projected forecast Butteville will have a late start tomorrow morning. We will start at 10:00am. This means that we can only offer bus service to Lake Shastina in the morning. There will be no bus service to Weed. We will see how the weather looks in the morning and send out another message if we have to cancel school. The safety of our students is our priority. Good Morning. After careful condsideration the decision has been made to cancel school today 2/27/23. We will keep you posted about tomorrow as the storm progresses.

If we have a late start, school would start at 10:00am. There would only be bus service to Lake Shastina. We would be unable to provide bus service to Weed for a late start. The Butteville bus is running about 20 minutes behind schedule. We had to switch buses after the first run, so it delayed us a bit for the second run.
